Take a look at Stephen Burrow's 2011 spring collection! He has a polished look and follows the longer hem that most seem to be doing, they also look at though they are inspired by kaleidoscopic colors-Kayla Bechtel
I happened to come across a beautiful photo post of the latest in bridal fashions for the spring. The dresses are stunning, as is the photography. If your into bridal, dresses, or costuming, definitely take a look, but even if your not, its worth a glance simply for the outstanding photography, gorgeous models and overall pristine design.
I was on style.com browsing at some of the new trends for this coming spring, when I came across this trend, We Wear Pants. The look is 70's inspired, very beautiful and feminine. The rise on the pants is getting higher than what we are used to right now. The relaxed pant seems to be very popular in the other trend for spring 2011. I love the color palette that the designers are using. I especially love the look that Derek Lam created (top picture, blue suit). It's so relaxed and the choice of fabric is perfect. I look forward to seeing more.
This is an awesome Italian furniture company Reflex's collection named Nodo Coffee Table.
As we saw in class this week, the look of the 70's starlet/boho hippie is making a big comeback in the world of fashion. I came across this great website that focuses on college-aged (or minded) people and the things they wear. Their latest post happened to be about this great 70s reoccurrence. The post was pretty good, but the rest of the website has alot to offer too. This site is dedicated to the observation and reporting of cutting edge design in the areas of MEN'S & WOMEN'S FASHION, ACCESSORIES, SHOES, RETAIL SPACE DESIGN, HOME ACCESSORIES AND FURNITURE AND CHILDREN'S WEAR. Members of the group will address the emergence of trends that originate in specific countries around the world and then spread internationally. Some of the countries included in this blog are the USA, FRANCE, ITALY, BELGIUM, HOLLAND, SPAIN and JAPAN.
