Loewe Spring 2012(Tiffany Owens)
Loewe Srping 2012 was influenced by motifs which were reproduced in engineered prints on silk skirts and tops or cut out of leather pieces. Lizards, another of the artist's visual signatures, also appeared as prints or beaded in black on gray suede. Stuart Vevers is the head desinger of this fabulous line
"But with the core of Loewe's business being leather goods, Vevers' challenge with a Spring collection is always going to be how to make skins lighter. He was proud of the fact that the Loewe workshops had come up with a reversible nappa that was the lightest yet. He cut it into a shorts suit or a button-through shirtdress. He also laced leather with tiny perforations, as in a skirt and matching sleeveless top". (Tiffany Owens)
Zara evening look for women
Lately on trend I have been noticing one long sleeved dresses for evening wear. I spotted this one sleeved from Zara for women in their evening look book for winter. The dress has a very sleek silhouette and the shoulder on the long sleeve is raised which makes this dress seem very on trend.

Zara for men
This Zara men's quilted jacket is made of synthetic leather. The trend we are seeing here is the the quilted design on the jacket and we can see this trend among other jackets. This specific design I believe is trendy and upcoming for synthetic leather. Other quilted design jackets I have seen were on a more outer wear type of jacket like for example Barbour.

pattern mixing
A look shown all over the runways this year is pattern mixing. However, if you are going to do it, do it right. mix a large pattern with a smaller pattern to harmonize the look. This Zero + Maria Cornejo look is a perfect example:

color blocking
If you want to be on trend this season, pick out a bright, color blocked top or skirt like these shown in the Etro spring 2012 collection:

Workman's look
As we learned in class, the workman's look is very in this season. Also very in is the double pocketing on the one side with a single pocket on the opposite shown here on the new show Persons of Interest:
