The short shorts are no longer just for women. Men are picking up on it too. I am currently in London and the men are doing cropped pants or very short shorts. UK designers are paving the way and more and more USA designers are chiming in. The Ralph Lauren store in Harrod's has VERY short floral shorts that I saw people buying. In the states I haven't seen this look and even if I did I don't think it would sell well. Everyone from the rich to the everyday guy is having their fair share of the shorts. I'm not a fan but hey us girls do it why can't they?


 

RETRO active! by David Molina

This spring and summer 2014 season had a very retro flare on the catwalks. It seemed like designers were inspired by the likes of Andy Warhol and the show Mad Men. Everything from the silhouettes of the sunglasses to the floral patterns and pop art prints gave a nod to the 1950's and 1960's. Here is some retro fashion that is still cool and edgy (not your grandma's dress if that is what you are thinking!).

Bare All - Taylor Crouse

From exposed shoulders to see-through gowns, Spring 2014 fashion offered some revealing looks for the spring/summer months.Sheer clothing is a huge trend this spring and women are daring to bare all. Sheer fashion remains a statement to make this season from very subtle to sexy. All different color palettes and all different placement of the material, it is a great look and I think it may stay around for quite some time.

Showing Some Skin - Taylor Crouse

Men are showing some skin this season. Flaunting their ankles, and embracing the retro look of the fashion icon, James Dean. The trend has returned and men are going with it. The trend adds a bit of visual interest to the bottom of the pant also adding some weight which can make the pant hang more attractively. The cuff pant is all down to personal choice, but I really think it gives your look a sense of style and the trend is occurring all around the world.
