For his collection for Jil Sanders, Raf Simons tried his hand at this years "minimalism" trend. He uses color to add to the impact of his designs. The bold colors make the designs look exciting and fresh. He said he looked to Givenchy's sixties era couture for inspiration, by playing around with proportion and shape of different fabrics not normally used for couture. His culbous skirts, elephant pants, and infanta gowns with the genius placement of T-shirts and parkas make this collection strong. Alli Crampton
