Debut of new furniture designer Tino Seubert

I have always wondered how furniture designers derived their inspiration. The colors and textures can be emulated from the current fashion designs, but the actual style? Then I saw this article from the NY Times and I thought it was worth posting. By looking at old historic photographs, this young, recently graduated, german born designer, Tino Seubert created his new furniture line by studying the manner in which the men in the photographs were sitting. He calls his new line Forming History. Look closely at the shape of the seats in the photograph. Very cool.
