The opening of the J.Crew Bridal store on New York's Madison Avenue at 66th Street, Tuesday evening (June 1st) Tracy Gardner (J. Crew's president) said, "We see this store as a platform to continue our mission to show off our incredible design, our service and personality. We've always had a really loyal following with bridesmaids and as we added more gowns, wedding gowns were doing so well. We thought we could bring something different than what's out there." She added: "It's been a labor of passion for us."

ReplyDeleteI am liking the concept, although... I am not found of the store's interior. It doesn't ooze wedding or J.Crew for that matter. Tracy Gardner saying "incredible" design seem to fit with the image of the interior. I may stand alone on this, however it the dark wood would be more appealing if the mannequins were not black or shinny; the chandelier appears to me as a mess. Again, I like the concept and idea of the whole wedding on Madison, but not the look of the store. Maybe it would look a bit more appealing if I would visit personally. =)
