Yohji Yamamoto

Here in Yamamoto's fall/winter collection 2011, he is using the sheer trend on all three outfits above.  The look is also a grunge look which seems to be making it's way on trend again.  The prints and graphics shown are also interesting and the length of the top is very flowy giving it a feminine appeal to to these outfits.

  1. Japanese designers have a harmonious design aesthetic that gives the illusion that each model was sculpted with trending high necklines ,structured bias and a flowy bottom.(Keyana J. Corley)

  2. I feel as though the Japanese designers have extremely distinctive look compared to that of designers from other countries. The sheer trend is something I think is used to show off the natural silhouette. (Erica Farahmand)
