Week 2 in Trends and Concepts we talked about the how Dior introduced the H and A-Line look in the late 1940's and we talked about the Over sized clothing. These dresses are done by Nicolas Ghesquiere for Balenciaga. The garment to the far right you can see the the A-Line and the top being very oversized. The same with the Jacket to the far left, it's big, not fitted
"Accordingly, there were conservative double-faced coats, A-line skirts
with sweaters, dresses with sheer and solid panels, and jackets in
metallic animal prints. When I asked Mr. Ghesquiere about some puffy,
oversize tops (as in sweatshirts) with cartoonish graphics on the front,
he replied, “They’re the corporate spies” (http://runway.blogs.nytimes.com/tag/nicolas-ghesquiere/#). (Zuri Kinnard)
