Rodarte contributed to Art Pop by drawing inspiration from two very famous Van Gogh pieces. They took almost literal translations from 'Sunflowers' and 'Starry Night' and places them onto knee length dresses. Personally, I believe that the concept works well with the 'Sunflowers' inspiration, but not nearly as well with 'Starry Night'. I feel as if the translation was too literal to ever work in everyday life, but for the runway it is an interesting concept. It is so different and fun to see a highly well known piece of art virtually coming to life and walking down the runway in a flirty little dress. ~ Kristina Vitelli
I knew instantly that the dress on the left was 'Starry Night' and I love it! I do not think I would wear something like this but I love this idea! Courtney xx
