“Shoes for Show: The Sculptural Art of High Heels”

This exhibit just opened up in London at the Old Truman Brewery on Brick Lane the week of November 1. The exhibit includes a showcase of beautiful shoes. Most of the shoes showcased are not practical for walking. Some shoes include that of Alexander McQueen’s Miniature Armadillo style for the Met and Nicholas Kirkwood’s Alice in Wonderland heels. Also featured was a “prize shoe” from the 1851 Great Exhibition that was never meant to be worn.

  2. These shoes are awesome! That black pair reminds me of a picture my fashion history teacher showed our class of the shoes courtesans used to wear in the middle ages.
